Learning Objectives

  • Explain the benefits and potential challenges of incorporating oral immunotherapy, food ladders, oral food challenges, and observed first food ingestions into clinical practice.
  • Develop strategies to overcome logistical barriers in their implementation in a variety of clinical settings.
  • Manage office and home reactions effectively to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Discuss different approaches to patient scheduling, thereby optimizing clinical workflow and patient experience.

- Panelists will discuss their current clinical practice and perspectives on key issues in food allergy, (ie. incorporating OIT, food ladders and candidates, oral challenges, understanding the Canadian landscape and what's coming)

- Speakers have been invited to provide a spectrum of opinions representative of the diverse clinical perspectives and practice settings across Canada

- Audience questions/participation will be encouraged throughout the meeting

 Webinar will take place from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm EST

Pediatric Interest Section Business meeting to follow 8:30 pm - 9:00 pm EST

This webinar is an educational activity approved as an Accredited Group Learning Activity under Section 1 of the Framework of Continuing Professional Development options as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.  As an accredited provider, the CSACI has approved this program and it is valued at 1.50 Section 1 Maintenance of Certification credits.
